Setar Lessons Online | Learn Persian Music with a Native Musician

Learn Setar Online — Persian Music Lessons for All Levels

The setar is the soul of Persian classical music — a small, long-necked lute whose sound has carried Persian poetry for centuries. In these online setar lessons you will learn proper technique, the Persian dastgah modal system, and traditional repertoire, whether you are picking up the instrument for the first time or deepening an existing practice.

I am a Persian musician and music teacher performing and teaching the music of Iran. Lessons are one-on-one and personal: we build your ear, your technique, and your understanding of the music's cultural roots together.

What you get:

One-on-one online setar lessons for beginners to advanced players

Technique, rhythm, and the dastgah system, taught step by step

 Traditional Persian repertoire and improvisation

Flexible scheduling for students in the U.S. and worldwide
